The University of Notre Dame House Flag has a liner sewn between its two nylon sides, therefore, the flag is viewable and readable correctly on both sides. The Owls were responsible for contributing the Alma mater to Shikellamy High School and to this day not a single word of the Alma mater has been revised. Fight, fight, fight! The Pineknotters also contributed their fight song, the Notre Dame fight song, to be part of the new high, Shikellamy High School. The Sunbury Owls had the school colors of blue and white, and the neighboring Northumberland Pineknotters, had the school colors of maroon and white, which were combined to give rise to Shikellamy's colors of blue, maroon, and white. School colors, fight song, and Alma mater are among these traditions.
